My mother started to train me for food preparation when I was about 13, from buying fresh ingredients in the wet market, cleaning the ingredients to cooking, and getting all this on to the serving table.  For the past 10 years, I was quite familiar with the basic cooking skills.  As I stayed in a very small kampung in the north part of Malaysia, there isn’t many varieties of food to cook.

I came to Singapore to work in my twenties. After my two kids were born, I wanted them to have at least one home cooked meal a day, thus, I attended cooking lessons after my work. I continued this journey for a couple of years. These lessons have been an eye-opening experience for me. I got to know more new ingredients, and different types of cuisines which I started to fall in love with..

I love to travel; this is because I will have a chance to taste different foods in different countries.  Food has the power to bring everyone together, be it a simple dish or elaborate banquet. I believe my love in cooking will continue.
