[Dated 9.8.21] Early this morning in the tune of past midnight , starts to receive many happy birthday greetings and well wishes from all over the Facebook group in the globe …  Yes! Today is my 55th birthday in this tiny island : City and State of Singapore , my late mum had borne me @ KK Hospital at 23:46 hrs, just before midnight of 9th August 1966, where Singapore 1st celebrated her Independence anniversary at City Hall, probably not able to watch the NDP1966 on the black & White TV then …  This day of 9th August, has always been the best moment of my day at every 365 days of the year – where I have public holiday and no need to work nor taking leave ; but these days : it’s self declared holiday as I never work on this special day till to date …  ++++ ++++ National Theme Song of Singapore …As I reflect the importance of Nationhood, the significance of our National Day has been about the unique Singaporeans identify as: “We are Singapore”, a place where we called “Our Home” as we ride MRT, buses, taxis , PHV cars … “There’s No Place I’d Rather Be” keep coming to my mind, where else can we live, be happy and contended with our heart and that’s “Where we belong” come to my mind !  As we always “Stand up for Singapore “, we sing our repertoire of National Day songs with pride and might. As usual, “Count on Me Singapore “ is one my the many favourite songs when I was younger as the lyrics simply easy and resonant with me and our fellow Singaporeans. Whenever, we wake up in the morning … it’s always “One People, One Nation, One Singapore “ as we recite “Our Pledge”each and every schooling day ! As we ride in our 1st class City transportation and seeing the many greenery of our city Garden, it’s akin to “City for the World “ as we forge ahead to be relevant to the world despite our minute size, as our busy port is one of the busiest port of the world and our voices need to remain strong and stay relevant in the eyes of the Super power of many bigger Nations, including our neighbours ; that’s where we build up our Army, Air Force and Navy acting as a combined forces to be reckoned with, as a deterrent forces ! We shall all “Reach Out For The Skies”.That’s where “My People, My Home” kicked in and looking at the night scene of Singapore beautiful landscape, it’s always my “Love at First Light”. “The Road Ahead” for “Our Singapore ” shall not be as rosy as our PM has forewarned as we open our economy for business, as we are still midst of Pandemic or rather endemic as we live through our lives in the new normal, as normal as we shall ever be … As we rejoiced in this day, “Everything I am” we shall share with our neighbours and friends … encourage one another to be safe and strong !Yes, we all, can remake “Our Singapore “ yet again and come out stronger every time ! As we are the new “We Are Singapore “ with every passing generations + We are already 56th years and onwards. Our 4G of new leaders to have the empathy, United as one, visionary to bring forth Singapore as “Because It’s Singapore “! We shall see “Tomorrow’s here today”! We always believed and strive for excellence in the many things we do … as It’s “Our Singapore “ We shall “Shine for Singapore “! as we dedicate ourselves “In a Heartbeat ” . So, “What Do You See ?” … let’s all put our hands, hearts and mind to sing a “Song for Singapore “ and encouraging one another …”We Will Get There !”. “Will You” Singaporeans ?
